Nearly 1,300 Britten-Norman Islander aircraft have been produced since manufacture began in 1965.

November 2019 - With UK government backing, a hybrid-electric version of the Islander is set to be developed. The airframe will be of nine-passenger arrangement and used for local inter-island routes.
