The CZ P-09 from Czech-based Czeska Zbrojovka is a full-sized polymer semi-automatic duty / self-defense pistol offering succeeding the earlier P-07 and preceding the newer P-10 (detailed elsewhere on MilitaryFactory.com). Owners have highly regarded this pistol entry, noting its accuracy, reliability, and magazine capacity. The standard offering holds 19+1 by way of the ubiquitous 9mm Luger pistol cartridge.

The CZ P-09 sports a traditional pistol arrangement: the grip is ergonomically angled to the rear while doubling as the magazine well. An M1911-like beavertail protrusion is noticeable at the rear of the frame. Under the barrel / muzzle section is a short length of Picatinny rail for mounting tactical accessories. Slide serrations are noted forward and aft along the sides with the ejection port seated at near-middle along the length of the gun. Forward and rear iron sights (fixed 3-dot) are positioned at their usual places along the slide for accurized shooting. The trigger ring is oversized for a gloved finger with the thin trigger assembly (Omega Double-Action/Single-Action trigger system) being easily accessible. Other common controls are located within easy reach such as the slide lock/release, magazine release, and the de-cocker (ambidextrous). The backstraps are interchangeable to small, medium, and large sizes for some customizability by the owner. The grips are appropriately stippled at front, rear, and sides and there is a small grip pattern embedded along the forward face of the trigger ring.

The frame is constructed of black polymer and the barrel is cold hammer forged. Overall length of the full-sized model is 8.1in with the barrel measure 4.54in.

A low-capacity 10-round version is also marketed.
