The Model 700 is a bolt-action rifle currently (2023) marketed by storied concern of Remington Arms of the United States for the big game hunting, range / recreational shooting, and competition shooting - such is its versatility. The rifle takes on a conventional design layout which includes a single-piece forend-grip-shoulder stock with inlaid metal components including the barrel. The bolt-handle sits over the right side of the body in the usual way and the trigger unit is underslung beneath the action. The floor plate is hinged for ease-of-use when reloading and the solid-steel bar stock receiver is drilled / tapped for scope mounting.

The rifle comes in various chamberings: 300 Win Mag, 30-05 Springfield, 7mm Remington Mag, 7mm PRV, 270 Winchester, 6.5 PRC, and 6.5 Creedmoor. As such, magazine capacity ranges from three to four rounds. Overall length is a consistent 45.75 inches with a 26-inch-long barrel assembly giving a complete weight of 8.5lb for the unit. The barrel is constructed of carbon steel with a black finish. H-S Precision provides the stock which arrives with a grey-black finish featuring white webbing.

Beyond mounting of optics, the rifle can have a folding bipod affixed under the forend for stabilized ranged shooting when prone.
