The NEROD F5-5 is a man-portable, counter-drone solution offered by MC2 Technologies of France. With the proliferation of unmanned airborne threats since 2000, French Land Forces have moved to adopt the design into service. The system is given a traditional "rifle-life" arrangement complete with shoulder stock / support, underslung ergonomic pistol grip, and fore grip. A sighting device can be attached to the top of the frame for aiming and actuation of the unit is through a conventional trigger pull. The amplification portion of the system transmits up to five frequency bands which are selected by the operator by way of preset functional buttons found along the side of the frame. Power to the unit is via battery pack.

Sans the battery pack, the unit weighs 14.3 lb and has a running length of 44 inches.

The actual jamming action occurs once the operator has lined up the target in his sights and pulled the trigger. The result is disruption of the flying drone unit caught within line-of-light of the unit / operator to which the harmless unit loses its connectivity or comes crashing down for recovery.

A single battery charge allows for up to 40 minutes of operation.
