The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is a full-sized, semi-automatic pistol chambered for .22WMR ("Winchester Magnum Rimfire" = WMR) developed by Kel-Tec chief designer Tobias Obermeit. Delivered to market in 2010, the product is a small-caliber (thus low-recoil), lightweight target-shooting / plinking solution firing from a 30-round detachable box magazine. Conventional sights (Hi-Viz) are fitted over the frame for basic ranging work and the top of the receiver accepts various tactical accessories including red-dot sights for improving ranged accuracy. Internally, there is a 4.4" long barrel and the 5lb trigger is of Single-Action Only (SAO), the overall operation utilizing an unlocked short-recoil system.

The pistol grip sports a patterned surface for an improved hold. A section of rail is fitted under the muzzle for the installation of additional tactical equipment such as a flashlight. The trigger sits within an oversized ring and ambidextrous safety controls are within easy reach of the thumb. The ejection port sits towards the right side of the frame. The grip handle doubles as the magazine well in the traditional sense and, beyond the 30-round magazine form, a 10-round model is available for export customers.

Muzzle velocity reaches 1,200 feet-per-second.
