The PGM 338 is a tactical bolt-action sniper rifle originating from French-based PGM Precision. The weapon is marketed as a highly accurate system, with high-probability of a hit on the first attempt. It is chambered for the widely-accepted .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge taking advantage of the match grade, free-floating barrel assembly. The weapon is rated out to an effective range of 1,200-1,500 meters and can be used against infantry targets as well as soft-skinned vehicles as the .338 cartridge provides the necessary penetration at range.

The bolt handle is set over the right side of the weapon in the usual way and the trigger group is seen at its usual place under the receiver, ahead of the angled pistol grip and aft of the magazine well. Feeding is by way of a 10-round detachable box magazine featuring a double-stack column. The trigger itself is of a two-stage design with the pull weight being adjustable. A trigger safety catch is also fitted. The shoulder stock is adjustable (for length) and features an adjustable cheekpiece. The shoulder stock is available in a fixed or folding form. The barrel can accept a traditional, slotted muzzle brake or be capped by a suppressor for clandestine work. There is a folding, adjustable butt spike to support the rear of the weapon as well as a folding, adjustable bipod attached under the forend to support the forward end of the weapon. Picatinny rail sections (at the top and sides) allow for the installation of various tactical optics including the scope (day or night optics are supported). Sling fix points allow for a shoulder strap to be fitted, aiding marching with the weapon over distance. The weapon is finished in a black matt color and sports an overall length of 48/8 inches (barrel length of 27.2"). Weight is 15.6lb.

All are fluted and of lightweight construction with the suppressor made optional (the muzzle brake is standard). There are also various options available to the PGM 338 including a wooden grip, a height-adjustable recoil pad and hard or soft transport case / bag.

The PGM 338 is currently in service with the special forces of Armenia, Israel, Singapore and Slovenia. The Chilean Army is another notable operator.
