World War 2 Japanese Empire Weapons - Aircraft, Armor, Guns and Warships

The Japanese held the early advantages in the Pacific during the early part of World War 2 - fate soon changed that.

The Japanese military made much progress in their offensives throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Reliant on their large fleet of warships, these instruments were backed by capable warplanes evolved over decades including the Mitsubishi A6M which rivaled any land-based fighter of the period. The momentum would soon run out and mounting losses would take their toll as the fighter was brought to the Empire itself, leading to its formal destruction at the hands of the Allies.
