The SPR300 represents a conventional bolt-action sniper rifle offered by Swiss-based gunmaker Brugger & Thomet. The design of this rifle showcases a fully-adjustable, side-folding stock, adjustable Timney single-stage trigger set, and AR magazine-compatibility as some of its key qualities. It sports a Type III Hard Coat Anodized finish and its construction incorporates lightweight aluminum.

The arrangement of the long gun is highly traditional with the receiver making up the bulk of the weapon's size and weight. The removable M4/AR-15-style pistol grip is angled rearwards for inherent ergonomics with the trigger group just ahead and the magazine well positioned just ahead the trigger itself in the usual way. Over the receiver is a long-running section of Picatinny rail for the mounting of optics, aimers, and other tactical accessories to improve mission performance (the rifle ships with scope ring mountings). Shorter rail sections are also repeated at their usual 9-, 3-, and 6-o'clock positions allowing for maximum customizability as long guns go. A folding, adjustable bipod (included with the gun) is seated under the forend and folds forwards for travel. The rifle can be taken down quickly for transport and stored in a soft or hard case.

The rifle fires the .300 BLK (.300 AAC Blackout) rimless bottleneck intermediate rifle cartridge through a proven, manually-actuated bolt-action system-of-operation. Feeding is through a ten-round detachable box magazine inserted under the action (the magazine catch is ambidextrous and positioned ahead of the trigger loop). The bolt handle sits over the right side of the frame, within easy reach, and manages insertion / extraction of cartridges into / out of the chamber. The safety mechanism is of two-position design ("white-is-right, red-is-dead" visual dots) within reach of the primary hand. A cocked-bolt indicator is also noted. Weight of the gun is 8.5lb and the overall length of the rifle reaches 39.7 inches with a ported barrel measuring 9.8 inches long.

The full-length sound suppressor of the SPR300 is integrated into the design and, when paired with subsonic ammunition, provides for true "silent" performance in-the-field.

The SPR300 PRO variant was debuted in July of 2021.
