The Harris M92 reworked the original Harris M87R heavy rifle to become a rather interesting bullpup-configured form.

The Harris Model 92 (M92) was based on the original Harris Model 87R (M87R), though reworked into a bullpup configuration in an attempt to satisfy the growing market trend for such configured rifle systems. It retained its .50 BMG anti-material caliber and fed from a 5-round detachable box magazine. The action was a traditional manual bolt-action arrangement. Weight reached 11 kilograms and overall length was 1,015mm with a barrel measuring 737mm long. Sighting was through an optics fit.

The M92 was given a very unique, if ungainly, profile with its deep body and integrated shoulder stock / pistol grip area. The bolt handle was set at the extreme aft end of the weapon. With its action located deep to the rear of the body, the barrel could be kept at full length yet protrude only a short distance ahead of the forend. A bipod was affixed in an area around the forend for forward support. The muzzle was capped by a massive perforated brake to contend with the inherently heavy recoil effect of firing such a large and powerful cartridge.

As with most weapons of this class, the M92 was intended for the anti-armor / anti-material role in military service.
