Above is a depiction of the anatomy of the standard guided-missile cruiser / frigate / destroyer in service with many navies today. Naval warships utilize similar names for various sections and components despite their different battlefield roles. Most feature missile- and projectile-based armament to counter just about any threat to them or the fleet itself.
