Independence-class Littoral Combat Ships

The Independence-class joins the Freedom-class group of surface warships in the Littoral Combat Ship role for the United States Navy.

OVERVIEW

The Independence-class serves the modern United States Navy in the littoral combat ship role - carrying a multi-mission-minded set of equipment and armament. Some fourteen vessels are planned for the class with each tagged at $360 million procurement prices. The class, developed along the lines of a high-speed trimaran, operates alongside the other LCS group, the Freedom-class, which take on more conventional stealth warship shapes.

There are a total of 4 Independence-class Littoral Combat Ships in the Military Factory. Entries are listed below in alphanumeric order (1-to-Z). Flag images indicative of country of origin and not necessarily the primary operator.
