Top Fighter Programs (2024)

Military Aviation | Global Defense Industry

These are the top fighter programs currently observed around the globe - presented in no particular order.

For those nations in the hunt for a new top-line air superiority / multirole performer, these offerings are the current batch of fighters available for export. From the capable, budget-concious PAC JF-17 to the proven frameworks of the Sukhoi Su-27, Boeing F-15, Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, and Lockheed F-16. The Lockheed F-35 'Lightning II' is becoming firmly entrenched in the operating fleets of the world, primarily through various Western players across Europe, while the Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassault Rafale, and Saab Gripen are all making headway into the fighter market. Updates to classic, Cold War-era designs such as the F-15 and F-16 are represented by the F-15EX 'Eagle II' and the F-16V 'Viper'.

NOTE: The listing below is not presented in any particular order in terms of popularity / success but rather in general alpha-numeric format. The Chengdu J-10 has been added for 2022 following its introduction with export customer Pakistan.
