Aircraft Firepower Index (BETA)
Aerospace | Performance
The Firepower Index attempts to assign a numerical value to the offensive capabilities of a given warplane.
The Firepower Index is an inhouse formula used to assign a numerical value to a given warplane design. The formula takes into account weapon types supported (both fixed and optional), total warload possible, and total number of hardpoints to generate the value. The result gives an indication of a design's offensive capabilities against other aircraft of similar or different aviation timeframes (this is particularly interesting in comparing capabilities between evolutionary models, such as the transition between the MiG-19 and MiG-21 for example). The value is not out of any fixed total, but rather a standalone rating. Nuclear capability is taken into account.
NOTE: Helicopters - particularly attack types - are judged slightly differently due to their armament options relative to their over-battlefield roles and size and may, in some cases, outclass fixed-wing entries in our listing. Similarly, attack UAVs use a slightly different formula.
There are a total of [ 55 ] Aircraft Firepower Index (BETA) entries in the Military Factory. Entries are listed below in alphanumeric order (1-to-Z). Flag images indicative of country of origin and not necessarily the primary operator.
