The Aeronautics Dominator XP is a strategic-level, Israeli-originated Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The drone is designed to meet the challenges of the Intelligence-Surveillance-Reconnaissance (ISR) role and can be equipped with a varying payload to undertake a variety of related mission sets. Its long range provides good battlefield coverage and its capabilities include ELectronic INTelligence (ELINT), COMmunications INTelligence (COMINT), and Search and Rescue (SAR) for both military and civilian (security) marketplaces.

The Dominator XP is built upon the frame of the Diamond DA-42 Twin-Star commercial passenger hauler and retains all of its excellent capabilities including triple redundancy of all vital avionics systems and a de-icing measure.

The drone takes on a conventional aircraft shape encompassing a fuselage and its connected surface planes. The typical cockpit area is covered over while the nose section mounts a chin camera/sensor blister. The wing mainplanes are seated near midships and are straight in their general lines with upturned winglet style tips for better control and fuel efficiency. The tail unit incorporated a Multhopp T-style plane arrangement with a single horizontal surface and this plane contains down-turned tips. Two conventional engines power the aircraft and each unit is shrouded by a streamlined nacelle fitted to the leading edge of the mainplane members. The engines turn three-bladed propellers. A tricycle undercarriage is utilized for ground-running.

The Dominator is a multi-mission platform and its 373 kilogram multi-payload capability reflects this tactical and strategic flexibility. Payload options include Electro-Optical (EO) sensors, InfraRed (IR) sensor fits, hyper-spectral sensors, laser designators, over-water radar search-and-track support, communications relays and the like. The maritime radar is useful in searching and tracking targets for the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) / Anti-Ship (AS) roles and doubles as a useful tool in the all-importnat SAR role.

The datalink is both Line-of-Sight/Beyond-Line-of-Sight while being satellite-assisted. Autonomous take-offs and landings are possible as is waypoint programming. Navigation is handled by a GPS/INS arrangement. A flight and mission simulator are built into the design. A Ground Control Station (GCS) is used to operate the aircraft in real-time and as a fail-safe to the autonomous sections of the design.

All told, the Dominator XP fields an MTOW of 1,910 kilograms and can reach a speed of 150 knots while remaining airborne for up to 20 hours. The LOS datalink is ranged out to 300 kilometers while SATCOM provides an unlimited reach. Structurally, the aircraft has a length of 8.6 meters, a wingspan of 13.5 meters, and a height of 2.5 meters.
