Another expendable "loitering munition" Unmanned Air System (UAS) to come out of Israel is the Green Dragon. The Green Dragon is described as a tactical-level, low-cost loitering munition system available to infantrymen and special operations operatives. It is portable enough to be carried in a sealed canister and deployed within minutes. A tablet is used by the controller and the air system relays information from its Electro-Optical / InfraRed (EO/IR) High-Definition (HD) camera fit in real time. The camera is fully-equipped to operate in both day and night settings out to a range of 40 kilometers (endurance is up to 1.5 hours). An electric motor supplies the unit with power and is of a run silent design giving the Green Dragon an advantage against unsuspecting enemy targets.

The 16 kiilogram Green Dragon is a true hunter-killer, able to loiter over a given target area and be used by the ground operator to assess enemy positions before initiating attack. Once the targets are verified, the UAV can dive upon them and be expended as a lethal munition with a kill precision area of one meter. The air system can operate out of line-of-site to provide ground commanders with even more tactical information and better situational awareness prior to attacking. Should the attack be cancelled, the Green Dragon is completely recoverable for use in another attempt.

The vehicle is capable of speeds of up to 110 knots and has a mission endurance window of about 75 minutes.

As the Green Dragon is highly-portable by design, a special multi-canister launcher can be fitted to an existing flatbed military vehicle. The launcher is trainable and can house/launch upwards of a dozen of these drones - the aircraft initially powered by an expendable rocket motor which is jettisoned shortly after launch. The electric motor then takes over the flight duties.

The Green Dragon UAS is arranged in a traditional fashion with the fuselage set at center and housing the pertinent operating systems and drive scheme. The electrical motor drives a two-bladed propeller unit at the rear of the fuselage in "pusher" arrangement. The wing mainplane is straight in its general shape and set atop the fuselage with winglets added for better control and stability. The tailplanes consist of a pair of outward-cranked, downward-angled fins found along the lower sides of the fuselage. The optics set is slung under the nose in the "chin" position.
