Exact details of the 6th Generation Fighter are still in the works. Many qualities perfected in 5th Gen platforms will be featured in 6th Gen mounts including radar profile reduction, enhanced countermeasures, improved networking with modular Battle Management Systems (BMSs), and integrated aerial capabilities alongside unmanned aircraft platforms (the so-called 'Loyal Wingman'). For the United States Air Force (USAF), the effort is being covered by the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program; for the United States Navy, this is the F/A-XX program. Similarly, Russia's Mikoyan is managing the PAK DP entry. There are also joint-national initiatives involving Britain, Italy, Japan, France, Germany, and Spain.
