Ribbon Identification Colors: white; blue
Visual Description (Ribbon):
Simple pattern of thin white bands against light blue primary; center white band is apparent while other white bands are at edges.
Visual Description (Medal):
Rounded bronze shape; Korean Gateway is pictured at center; surrounding the scene is the text "Korean Service", each word being seperated by a single bullet point; REVERSE: Ying-Yang symbol from the Korean national flag; spray of oak and laurel at the bottom of the scene; surrounding the top half of the scene is the text "United States of America".
Award Criteria:
Awarded to service personnel then in support of military efforts to the United States military between June 27th, 1950 and July 27th, 1954 encompassing American involvement in the Korean War (1950-1953); includes personnel in action on Korean territory as well as those waters adjacent.
